Company History

Link + Corporation was started in 1974 by Chuck Kloetstra in London, Ontario, Canada. In those days the company operated out of a 14 foot trailer View Image with Chuck doing sales calls in the morning and processing customs entries in the afternoon. Chuck's hard work, in-depth technical knowledge and unwavering dedication to customer service were the elements that helped the company grow over the years.

These full service, local offices have allowed LiNK+ to gain an in depth knowledge of the client's unique needs and we are therefore are able to provide the highest level of personal service. Each office provides service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Link + Corporation? How did you come up with that name?

The original name of the company was Link Customs Services reflecting the company's goal to help its clients establish trade links with the rest of the world. In 1997 Link Customs Services added to its operations by amalgamating with Brown Customs Brokerage in Cornwall, Ontario and MJ Gross Customs Brokers in Cambridge Ontario. Also, at about the same time, Link started expanding its service offerings to include United States Customs Clearance, logistics and software services. These "additions" to the company prompted the name change from Link Customs Services to Link + Corporation.

Our Accomplishments

LiNK + Corporation has experienced tremendous growth and success over the years. This success can be attributed to providing our clients with excellent service and value, treating our employees with respect, focusing on continuing to offer our clients with a personalized and professional service.

We have been recognized for our success. In 2001 and 2002 Link was a finalist in the London Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards as Large Business of the year and E-business of the Year.

Community Involvement

LiNK+ supports many community events and charities in the communities in which it operates. Most notable of these is the Canadian Diabetes Association. Diabetes has had a particular impact on the Link family. Chuck Kloetstra, never one to sit idly by, decided to do something about it. In 1990 Chuck started and has been the driving force behind the Flame of Hope Golf Tournament. Over the years the Flame of Hope Golf Tournament has raised over $500,000 for Diabetes research. In 2006 Chuck was recognized by the Canadian Diabetes Association for this incredible achievement and his dedication to helping others.
